About Us

Our faith

We are part of a liberal faith tradition of seekers and skeptics alike who proclaim that love is the spirit of this church. We are here to help each other grow spiritually, live meaningfully, and have the courage to heal the world.

As a faith, we believe our questions are as important as the answers we seek. Your heart and mind are welcomed on equal footing. We are an inclusive, open, and welcoming community.

Our worship services are held each Sunday at 10:00 AM, but we are active all week. We are busy with activities throughout the community and have a strong presence in social justice issues at the local, state, and national levels. Visit us and see what UUCG is all about, because you are welcome.

Our principles

Unitarian Universalist congregations affirm and promote seven principles, which we hold as strong values and moral guides. We live out these principles within a living tradition of wisdom and spirituality.

  1. The inherent worth and dignity of every person.
  2. Justice, equity, and compassion in human relations.
  3. Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations.
  4. A free and responsible search for truth and meaning.
  5. The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large.
  6. The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all.
  7. Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

You are welcome here

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Greeley has a proud and long history of providing and supporting liberal religion in Northern Colorado. Founded in 1880, we have multi-generational families and new members. We look forward to meeting you.

We are a caring, joyful, spiritual, and diverse congregation. We offer a religious education program and a variety of sermons, services, and service leaders. We are Unitarian Universalist (or UUs, as we are often referred to), and Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Pagan, atheist, agnostic, skeptic, and freethinker. We are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and straight, and we take pride that Unitarian Universalists have been at the forefront of gender identity and sexual orientation equality for more than 40 years. Join us and bring your whole self: your full identity, your questioning mind, your expansive heart. Our home is a fully accessible church operated with green principles in mind.

We are one of many Unitarian Universalist congregations nationally and globally. You can learn more about our denomination at www.uua.org.
